die hard (just the first one, you need a great villain and alan rickman, who went on to play snape in the harry potter movies, is a great one)

early schwarzenegger:

hong kong action:

a better tomorrow (by the way, these are all chow yun fat)

early jackie chan:
drunken master 1 & 2 (2 was released in the US under the titel legend of the drunken master. 1 will kinda remind you of Kill Bill 2)

Project A (also starring sammo hung. i tell you, in this movie, the fat guy can really move. also in the early jackie chans, it’s still awe-inspiring to watch him move, not like today when he needs considerable comedic back up or some gimmick to use CGI)

ong bak 1 and 2 – i don’t know what the plots to these movies are, but the action is just brutal. this is what jackie chan would be doing now if he wasn’t pushing 50.

X-Men 1 X2, X-Men the Last Stand (not even the last one because at the end the villain Magneto moved the metal chess piece without touching it after being cured. Thats why on the dvd case it says ‘GREAT ACTION… THE GREATEST ‘X-MEN’ MOVIE YET!’ wich means there will be a X-Men 4)

Spider-Man 1, 2, #3 is coming soon.

Lord of the Rings 1, 2, and 3

If you have seen those you haven’t missed anything good. A Transformers movie is coming out on July 4 2007 and that looks like it has alot of action in it and Steven Spielburg is one of the producers.
