Am I the only one that thinks “Love” should be left out of action movies?

Terry thе Klown аѕkеԁ:

I don’t mean аƖƖ action movies. Fοr example, 007 Casino Royale thаt relationship wаѕ a bіɡ раrt οf thе ѕtοrу line.
Hοwеνеr, sometimes іn οthеr movies thе man-woman relationship іn thаt movie јυѕt seems Ɩіkе dead weight thаt сουƖԁ stand tο bе left out.
I **** іt whеn іn thе middle οf a ɡrеаt bіɡ fun fight thеу hаνе tο hаνе tο hаνе thіѕ bіɡ dramatic kiss between thе girl аnԁ guy аѕ іf іt wеrе really іmрοrtаnt. It really kіƖƖѕ thе action mood.
Am I alone οn thеѕе thουɡhtѕ?

But how would you ever see th tough guy’s soft side if he didnt have a romantic interest?
I think you need a hug!

Nope, you’re not alone in this one! One of my favorite movies this year was “Wanted,” and I saw a sneak preview of “Eagle Eye” last night. I’m not an action fan really, but I thought they were great! And I think a big part of that was because they left out the romance stuff. It’s so refreshing when the leads don’t find a time between car chases to tumble into bed together.

No, I think romance is being thrown into every movie, even horror movies!
Save the love for comedies and romance movies.

OMG i completely agree with you, it’s so corny and I normally skip the section if it is on dvd.

I’m pretty sure they do this to get people to continue to watch it. a lot of people want to see a hot girl and hot man get busy. but it should be left out of action movies.

i agree with you… when im watching a action movie i dont want to see alot of romance either.. if that was the case i would have rented me a romance movie…. right?

the romance is put into most action movies so that when the man drags his female partner out to the movie she will have something to relate to. While they do seem corny most of the time, they are necessary if you want your girl to watch them with you.

What would be the point of the action star wiping out half of Europe to rid it of bad guys if he didn’t get any girls out of it….

According to me Love Should be there , But i shouldn’t be a major part of the Film.

Actions should be a major chuck other than showing bare body, smooching’s,and hella longs romance conversations.

They do it for the female viewers. It annoys me sometimes too

haydarchSeptember 4th, 2009 at 3:14 pm

You’re not alone. I agree. Compare Batman Returns and Dark Knight.

messupgirlSeptember 7th, 2009 at 11:45 am

No I think it should be cut from some movies as well. However it’s in there because they assume that a woman couldn’t possibly be interested in watching it if there were no romance. Just like ***** flicks normally the “that guy” type. Drinks beer, and sits in front of the T.V. all day. It’s stupid.

I know what you are saying. It is so false. Action movies should be action and Romantic movies should be about Love. I think, and this is just my opinion, that the Action movie makers think that by throwing a teeny bit of romance into the fray of action, that they are going to appeal to the women of the men that usually flock to these action movies.

doesn’t work really, does it?

Kungfu KingSeptember 9th, 2009 at 12:58 pm

It’s ironic that you need to ask that question when almost all action movies have leading ladies in them. Most often, it’s the leading man’s love for the leading lady that propels him to action. It’s because of his love that he blows up and kills hundreds of people.

The Ultimate ChampionSeptember 12th, 2009 at 3:55 am

I agree with you. If they put love in it then it ruins the action and t he thriller and spoils the mood. I think love should be in romantic movies and action movies should only have action. The film directors should think about this. Anyways I **** romantic movies.

JessicaSeptember 15th, 2009 at 2:24 pm

Well, you could…..BUT this is why they don’t leave it out.

In action movies men always fantasize about them being like the hero and acting and doing things like him and want to emulate them.

Women who watch action movies see the women and get jealous thinking, I’m SOOOO much more interesting and I could totally make him LOVE me!

It gets both men and women to watch it.
